Grey sculpture clay with 40% fine grog 0-0.5 mm (up to 35 Mesh). Formulated for artistic and decorative ceramics, it is ideal for sculpture and pieces for outdoors (garden pots, tiles, etc.). The high content of grog confers a beautiful textured surface and an excellent behaviour during drying and firing. Depending on the firing temperature, it develops an interesting range of greys, from cement to dark grey, which satisfies the most avant-garde trends in artistic and decorative ceramics. Available in extruded body (moist form).
Firing range*: 1200-1300ºC / Cone 5-10

Carbonate content (CaCO3): 0%
Drying shrinkage: 5.3%
Firing shrinkage 1300ºC: 4.3%
Porosity (water absorption) at 1300ºC: 4.5%
Dry bending strength: 2.8 N/mm2
Fired bending strength (1300ºC): 37.8 N/mm2
Thermal coefficient 1250ºC (25-500ºC): 61.6x10^-7ºC^-1
Available in the United States and Canada. ACMI AP Seal. Conforms to ASTM D-4236
(*) Firing range recommended for the clay to develop its best performance, both in terms of technical and safety characteristics, under conventional firing conditions. The colour samples may show temperatures outside the recommended range to provide a broader view, but these are pieces fired under controlled conditions. Cone equivalence according to Orton table for self-supporting cones, regular-SSB and 150ºC/hr heating rate.
